A year after, Celine has started with a clothing line, with the Etoile Shirt the very famous one that was launched 1972. Following a huge success of the clothing industry, they started doing trench coats and skirts and silks in 1975. In 1976, Celine opened international branches of their boutiques, particularly in Rome, in HongKong, in Monte Carlo, in Geneva, in Toronto, in Lausanne, and in Beverly Hills.

In 1990, the famous Celine rings were introduced. In 1997, the company hired a new creative director in the persono of Michael Kors. The designer was the one who was appointed to do their ready-to-wear collections for women of all ages. He is made known in his designs because of his emphasis on how well leather can make good clothing collections.
